Mannheim

One of the largest cities in northern Baden-Württemburg, Sprawled all around the junction of the Rhein and Neckar rivers, Mannheim has some fifteen suburbs, all very large, and it sports the largest shopping districts in the area.


Mannheim endorse few exotic tourist destination that are a delight to travelers. At the outer edge of town to the East, there is a large industrial museum and a planetarium. There are several large churches scattered about town (the Jesuit church to the west is particularly picturesque).Anoth0er attraction is the Mannheim Castle, pictured at left. The eastern side of Mannheim has a number of worker's museums and a planetarium, along with Carl-Benz Stadion and several very large shopping centers.


Tourist Attractions of Mannheim

Destroyed in World War II, Manheim was rebuilt in a conventional style. Only few monuments were not disturbed that includes the Baroque Altes Rathaus and the Secessionist Wasserturm in Friedrichsplatz.


Church of Saint Ignatius and St. Francis Xavier Built in 1733-60 by Alessandro Galli da Bibiena, the church was majorly destroyed in World War II. Church has been largely rebuilt and still boasts its original altars.

Staedtische Kunsthalle This museum showcases art collection housed in a jugenstil edifice. The museum is fairly small and concentrates on 19th and early 20th century works.
