The main shopping districts in Berlin are the Kurfurstendamm, Breitscheidplatz and for some bargains stroll the Budapestststrasse and Tauenzienstrasse. Most of the big stores open at 9.30am - 8pm Mon-Fri and between 9am and 4pm on Saturdays. The markets are usually closed on Sundays, except for small stores in main train stations. In the eastern part of Berlin, the major shopping areas are Unter den Linden and Friedrichstrasse.
