Nightlife in Munich

Munich at times may be considered as a traditional town, but as far as its nightlife goes a visitor can play around for many a nocturnal hour, curfew or no curfew. The various districts have an almost village-like atmosphere at night. Apart from the probably best-known quarter of Schwabing, it is Haidhausen, Neuhausen, the inner city and the Glockenbach quarter that have profiled themselves as rallying points for nightlife fans amongst young people and those who fancy themselves as such.

In nearly all the different realms of Munich, there are array of restaurants and bars. The two best-known areas for this reason are probably Kunstpark Ost and the area in Schwabing. Kunstpark Ost is a receptacle of clubs, bars, rehearsal rooms and restaurants, also better known as Little Harlem. Besides cultural life, sports addicts will be pleased as well. Especially Schwabing has a high concentration of bars where you can experience live music- whether country and western, jazz or Latin American music.
